It’s not about being proud of my size or fat, it’s about being proud of who I am right now in this very moment, in this precise form, whatever it is! It’s about facing the naked truth and not being scared or ashamed about it.
I don’t need to wait for any change or approval in order to accept myself

This is a nice message, but it’s also important to note that your beauty and your worth are two entirely different concepts. Your weight does not define your beauty, and you beauty does not define you. It is far more important to be kind, intelligent, loyal, independent and strong than it is to be attractive.

YOUR BODY IS BEAUTIFUL IF:

  • you have a body
  • that’s it
  • you’re beautiful
  • you win
  • congratulations

Love this! :)

Love this! We should all try doing this, no matter what stage you are at in body acceptance. Self-affirmations of worth and beauty really do work.

Sometimes you need a reminder that negative comments about your body aren’t even really about your body, they’re about society and our society’s wrongheaded and impossibly narrow definition of a “good” body. Your body didn’t do anything wrong. What’s fucked up about your body is not your body at all, but that your body has to live in a society that thinks it has a right to say fucked up things about your body.

I think we all need this reminder sometimes. There’s nothing wrong with us, there’s something wrong with society.

It’s all about falling in love with yourself and sharing that love with someone who appreciates you, rather than looking for love to compensate for a self love deficit.

It’s not about how much you weigh.

It’s about how you carry yourself.

Confidence is beauty regardless of how you look.

This is a blog I started because my girlfriend is so self-conscious about her body because of the world we live in, and, it's not just her, everyone is pushing "skinny". Like you aren't beautiful if you're over 130 pounds, but that's crap. Everyone is beautiful in their own way. Just because you aren't tiny does not mean you are not beautiful. Every person is perfect the way they were intended to be. Also, I want to throw out here that we are not a skinny-shaming blog in any way. Our name is not saying skinny people need to die, it's a metaphor meant to put to death the idea that everyone needs to be skinny to be loved.
